Dong Nai’s localities urged to boost collective economy

Presently, Long Khanh town has 22 high-productivity clubs and 8 cooperatives; Xuan Loc is home to 131 clubs and 17 cooperatives; Cam My has 37 clubs and 11 cooperatives. However, only 50 percent out of total cooperatives are appreciated as effective operating units because they knew how to improve and diversify their services, making in-depth investment in renewing technologies in order to make high quality products.

According to reports from the localities, the biggest difficulties for cooperatives and clubs are lack of capital for production and professional staff, insufficient infrastructure; these lead to outdated production technology and uncompetitive products in the market.

Speaking at the working session, Standing Deputy Secretary Le Hong Phuong praised the efforts made by the localities over the past time. He also suggested the local leaders to review the difficulties that the cooperatives are facing and open the way to resolving the issue. Accordingly, the localities need to boost the quality of their collective economy and increase the number of effective local economic models.
