(ĐN)- From the year of 2006 to now, Xuan Loc district provided preferential loans worth a total of VND38.5 billion for nearly 4,000 poor households and students. Besides, the district mobilized VND4.5 billion from beneficiaries and local people to build 227 charity houses and provide free check-ups and medicines to the poor.
During the past time, Xuan Loc district has made great efforts in reducing poverty and eliminating hunger. Accordingly, the rate of poor households reduced from 12.7% in 2006 to 8% now.
