(ĐN)- The leaders of Dong Nai province and Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) had a meeting to discuss the ground clearance plans to ensure the pace for the HCM City-Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway project.
The 55-km expressway will start by the fourth quarter of this year. The VND18,800 billion project is expected to help boost growth of the southern key economic triangle that combines
The first phase, estimated to cost 9.9 trillion VND, covers ground-clearance, compensations and resettlement of displaced tenants. Accordingly, the VEC will collaborate with localities to proceed with construction site clearance so that work can be commenced in the fourth quarter by 2008.
As known, Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to sponsor $600 million for the project.
