La Nga Sugar Cane & Sugar Joint Stock Company plans to achieve turnover of over VND 220 billion in 2006

(ĐN)- This target received shareholder approval at the recent shareholder meeting. For fiscal year 2006, the company sets a strategic plan to increase its total annual dividend payment by 17.25 per cent per share and raise its turnover by 18.57 per cent to more than VND 220 billion.

For fiscal year 2006, the company sets a strategic plan to increase its total annual dividend payment by 17.25 per cent per share and raise its turnover by 18.57 per cent to more than VND 220 billion. La Nga Sugar Cane & Sugar Joint Stock Company plans to focus on developing and applying advanced technology in production to increase productivity and product quality. Accordingly, the company is expected to reach average sugarcane productivity of 65 tones/hectare and the average sugar content ranges around 9.7 CCS. Besides, the company will continue to improve and exploit maximum the productivity of the raw sugar and the refined sugar factories and microorganism-organic fertilizer factory. Moreover, it is planning to develop a Quality Management System that meets the new ISO 9001 2000 Standard. The company will also prepare plans to list in stock market in 2007.

In 2005, although the company had to face with many difficulties because of high input material prices, it still exceeded the main targets set for the whole year; that was thanks to the staff’s efforts and high sales price. Last year, the company achieved a turnover in excess of VND 186 billion, up 26.68%, contributed over VND 10.2 billion to the state budget, up 24.1%, paid a dividend of 17.18%, increased 64.24%, and reached the profit of VND 18.8 billion, raised 49.8%.
