Two Dong Nai individuals win 2026 Nguyen Chi Thanh Award

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF) has announced the results of the 2026 Nguyen Chi Thanh Award.

From 108 nominations for the Nguyen Chi Thanh Award submitted by 34 provinces and cities and three affiliated units, the Award Selection Council convened and selected 70 individuals with outstanding achievements in VYF work and youth movements in 2026 to receive the 2026 Nguyen Chi Thanh Award.

Among the 70 individuals selected for the 2026 Nguyen Chi Thanh Award, Dong Nai has two representatives: Cao Tien Dung, Member of the Tran Bien Ward’s VYF Committee, and Tran Thi Thanh Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Trang Bom Ward’s VYF.

In recent years, Tran Thi Thanh Thanh has directly advised on the initiative, assessed needs, and mobilized the establishment of three youth clubs: the Young Dance Club with eight members, the Youth Hairstyling Club with seven members, and the Life Skills Club with 300 members. She has also directly mobilized the establishment of three VYF chapters for youth workers in boarding houses. Each year, she continues to organize the "Brilliant Journey" program, creating opportunities for Youth Union members, VYF members, and young people to take part in games and learn history in combination with digital technology and maintains the organization of "Summer Dance" program. She advised on organizing the campfire program at the 2026 military enlistment camp. She also initiated the charity program "Spring of Love – Tet of Sharing," among other initiatives.

In his roles as a VYF member of Tran Bien Ward, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union Branch, and teacher in charge of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization at Tran Hung Dao Secondary School in Tran Bien Ward, Cao Tien Dung has recorded notable achievements in consistently researching and applying science, technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation to innovate methods of organizing Youth Union and VYF activities, thereby improving the effectiveness of communication, education, and the gathering and uniting of young people in schools.

The Nguyen Chi Thanh Award is the new name of the former October 15 Award. It is a prestigious honor presented by the VYF to exemplary officials, members, and young people who have achieved exceptional results in their studies, work, VYF activities, and youth movements.

The award ceremony is scheduled to be held in Hanoi on October 11.
