From schools and industrial parks to areas with large ethnic minority populations, gender equality work across Dong Nai City is being carried out in diverse forms and reaching a broad range of target groups. These efforts are gradually making knowledge and policies on gender equality more accessible to local communities.

Communicating gender equality to ethnic minority communities helps raise awareness and promote equal opportunities within these communities.

In the first nine months of 2026, the Department of Home Affairs advised the City People's Committee on issuing plans to implement the National Strategy on gender equality for the 2026-2030 period, the Communication Program on gender equality for the 2026-2030 period, and gender equality and women's advancement work for 2026. At the same time, the department advised on the issuance of Decision No. 40/QD-BCD establishing the Program 8 Steering Committee, providing a basis for the coordinated and effective implementation of gender equality tasks.

A highlight of the first nine months of 2026 was the series of communication activities with a strong grassroots focus, reaching various target groups. The Department of Home Affairs organized 10 communication sessions on gender equality and the prevention of and response to gender-based violence at 10 schools, attracting nearly 4,000 students. Through these sessions, students developed respectful behaviors free from gender prejudice and discrimination, helping them recognize the risks of violence and learn how to seek support when necessary.

In industrial parks with high concentrations of workers, the Department of Home Affairs organized three communication sessions in the first nine months of 2026, attracting nearly 800 employees. The content focused on raising awareness of equal rights and preventing discrimination, harassment, and gender-based violence in the workplace, contributing to the development of a safe, respectful, and equitable working environment.

Notably, communication activities were also conducted in areas with ethnic minority populations, such as Tho Son, Bu Dang, and Phuoc Son, contributing to broader access to information, policies, and support services.

Alongside communication activities, the city focused on strengthening the capacity of personnel responsible for policy implementation. A total of 190 commune-level officials and civil servants received training in state management in the field of gender equality.

These practical activities are gradually bringing gender equality guidelines and policies into everyday life. When respect and opportunities are shared fairly, everyone has better conditions in which to be protected, develop, and reach their full potential, thereby contributing to building a safe, fair, and humane community.
