Significance of Zero-VND humanitarian market

The Dong Nai Red Cross Society, in coordination with Phap Tuyen Buddhist Temple in Trang Dai Ward, organized a Zero-VND humanitarian market on September 6, providing 230 packages of essential goods to households, members, and individuals facing difficult circumstances in the city.

The program took place at Phap Tuyen Buddhist Temple in Trang Dai Ward. The support packages, worth a total of approximately VND138 million, included a variety of essential items such as rice, instant noodles, fish sauce, soy sauce, cooking oil, monosodium glutamate, vegetables, and fruits.

Of the 230 gift packages, 30 were presented to the Dong Nai Association of Revolutionary Soldiers Imprisoned by the Enemy; 20 to the Dong Nai Association for Supporting Martyrs' Families; 30 to the Dong Nai Association for the Blind; 20 to the Dong Nai Association for Supporting the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients; 30 to people with disabilities in Tam Hiep Ward; and 100 to households facing difficult circumstances and victims of Agent Orange in Trang Dai Ward.

At the market, residents were able to select items suited to their daily needs from 14 stalls. The activity not only provided those facing difficult circumstances with essential goods but also created opportunities for organizations, businesses, and benefactors to participate in humanitarian work, contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual support throughout the community.

Speaking at the program, Venerable Thich Thuan An, representing Phap Tuyen Buddhist Temple, thanked the Dong Nai Red Cross Society, as well as the units, businesses, and benefactors, for joining hands to organize it. Their support contributed additional resources to the care of people in need, thereby spreading compassionate and practical deeds throughout the community.
