Nearly 79% of site for Nguyen Huu Canh Boulevard handed over

According to Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Construction Duong Van Hieu, the Nguyen Huu Canh Boulevard project, covering the section from National Highway 51 to the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway, is making positive progress.

Nguyen Huu Canh Boulevard comprises two component projects with a total investment of more than 6.5 trillion VND and is scheduled for completion in March 2028. Specifically, nearly 79% of the area required for component project 1, covering compensation and site clearance, has been handed over, equivalent to nearly 33 hectares. Component project 2, covering construction, commenced on June 30, 2026.

In the coming period, relevant units and localities will accelerate site clearance, complete the appraisal of construction drawing designs, and negotiate, finalize and sign contracts with investors.

The Nguyen Huu Canh Boulevard project is approximately 15.5 km long and 60 m wide, passing through the wards and communes of Long Hung, Tam Phuoc, and An Phuoc. Dong Nai City has identified the project as one of the key infrastructure axes for shaping development space and creating a landscape axis along the Dong Nai River. The implementation of the project also contributes to translating into action the viewpoints and goals set out in the Politburo’s Resolution No. 16-NQ/TW dated July 21, 2026, on building and developing Dong Nai City by 2035, with a vision to 2065.
