MoST and Dong Nai review cooperation on sci-tech development

On September 14, specialized units under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) and the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (DoST) held a meeting. They discussed and reviewed the contents of the cooperation program between the MoST and Dong Nai City on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation to support the city’s socio-economic development during the 2026–2030 period.

The meeting was held online. At the MoST, Chief of the MoST Office Ha Minh Hiep presided over the meeting, while in Dong Nai, Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee and Director of the DoST Pham Van Trinh presided.

At the meeting, representatives of the DoST presented a summary report on the draft cooperation program between the MoST and Dong Nai City on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in support of socio-economic development for the 2026–2030 period.

Relevant units under the MoST then exchanged views, provided feedback, and proposed appropriate implementation options and solutions for each group of content and related issues. They also responded to a number of questions and recommendations from the Dong Nai DoST.

Speaking at the meeting, City Party Committee Member and Director of the DoST Pham Van Trinh expressed his appreciation for the feedback and suggestions from specialized agencies and units under the MoST, which will help the department adjust and supplement the contents and plans of the cooperation program between the Ministry and Dong Nai City.

At the same time, leaders of the DoST expressed their hope that the MoST would continue to provide guidance and support to the locality on specific groups of content and fields related to tasks in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in support of local socio-economic development. This guidance is particularly important for priority task groups scheduled for implementation during the 2026–2027 period, including supporting businesses in applying technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence; providing guidance on building practical testing environments for new technologies and models in certain fields; selecting and announcing major city-level tasks; and commissioning scientists, research institutes, universities, and businesses to jointly address pressing local issues.
