Mid-Autumn Festival for Children - Lighting Up Dreams

On September 12, at Nghia Trung Secondary School in Nghia Trung Commune, the Dong Nai City Youth Union, the City Vietnam Youth Federation, the City Youth and Children’s Culture House, the Traffic Police Division under the City Public Security Department, Porsche Club Vietnam, and Nghia Trung Commune co-hosted the 2026 "Full Moon Festival Night" program themed "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children - Lighting Up Dreams."

Attending the program were Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee’s Standing Board and Permanent Vice Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Hieu Trung, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union; Phan The Cong, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union and Chairman of the City Vietnam Youth Federation; leaders of the City Youth and Children’s Culture House and Nghia Trung Commune; representatives of partner units; and a large number of students and local residents.

Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union Nguyen Hieu Trung said the City Youth Union’s Standing Board identified the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival not only as an occasion to organize recreational activities and care for children but also as a peak period for the entire system of Youth Union, youth-led associations, and Young Pioneers’ organizations to focus on the grassroots level, bringing affection, responsibility, and resources closer to children and adolescents, especially those in remote, border, and ethnic minority areas, and ensuring that disparities in living conditions do not become gaps in children's opportunities for learning and development.

Despite the heavy rain, the program remained filled with excitement and enthusiasm. In the vibrant play and experiential area, the children eagerly took part in various games, including excellent player, chicken pecking grain, dance IQ, basketball toss, and treasure hunt, among others.

In addition to recreational activities, the Organizing Board presented 100 gifts to policy-beneficiary households and families facing difficult circumstances in Nghia Trung Commune. The gifts served as a practical gesture of sharing, helping encourage families to overcome hardships, stabilize their lives, and strive for a better future.

The "Full Moon Festival Night" took place in a jubilant atmosphere, featuring a spectacular lion dance and lively, cheerful musical and magic performances that provided the children with a memorable Mid-Autumn night. The Organizing Board presented 450 Mid-Autumn gifts to students in Nghia Trung Commune and also awarded prizes to teams with outstanding entries in the Mid-Autumn lantern-making contest. The total cost of the program was 350 million VND.
