21 poor and near-poor households in Ta Lai Commune receive “Great Solidarity” houses

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai City and the VFF Committee of Ta Lai Commune held a ceremony on September 5 to hand over “Great Solidarity” houses to poor and near-poor households facing housing difficulties in Ta Lai Commune (Dong Nai City).

At the ceremony, 11 families received decisions on the handover of newly built houses, with VND80 million in support for each house, while 10 households received decisions on the handover of renovated houses with VND40 million in support for each house. Funding for the construction and repair of the houses was raised by the Dong Nai City VFF Committee through contributions from individuals, organizations, and businesses to the Dong Nai City Fund for the Poor. During the construction process, local authorities and hamlet management boards also mobilized additional support for the beneficiary households.

On this occasion, the Dong Nai City VFF Committee also called on Venerable Thich Tam Hoan, Head of Dinh Phap Bodhimanda in La Nga Commune (Dong Nai City), to present gifts to the 21 families receiving house handover decisions.

Attending the handover ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai City VFF Committee Nguyen Tan Phu, on behalf of the Committee’s Standing Board, expressed appreciation for the support and partnership of organizations, businesses, and benefactors in social welfare work in general and the “Great Solidarity” house donation program in particular across the city.

Addressing the families that received support for house construction and repairs, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai City VFF Committee Nguyen Tan Phu congratulated them on having homes that would help stabilize their lives. He also expressed his hope that each family would make greater efforts in labor and production and in caring for their children, thereby gradually improving their living standards and sustainably rising out of poverty.
