Emulation fuels Dong Nai’s development

In response to the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign themed “Unity–Discipline–Efficiency–Breakthrough for a civilized and modern Dong Nai,” the city’s culture, sports and tourism sector is implementing numerous practical projects and tasks, fostering a vibrant emulation spirit.

With the determination to fulfill assigned goals and tasks, the campaign is not only a peak emulation drive but also a driving force for promoting innovative thinking, improving operational efficiency, and harnessing the intrinsic strength of culture, thereby contributing to Dong Nai's rapid and sustainable development in the new era.

Setting clear goals and tasks for every stage

At the launch ceremony of the 500-day-and-night emulation campaign held on June 5, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vu Thanh Ngu said that the sector has identified five key goal groups, including strengthening discipline and order while innovating leadership, direction, and management; promoting administrative reform and digital transformation; building a contingent of officials, civil servants, and public employees; fulfilling targets in the fields of culture, sports, tourism, and press and publishing; and improving the satisfaction of citizens and businesses.

Artists and performers from the Dong Nai Center for Culture and Cinema perform artistic programs promoting the 500-day-and-night emulation campaign to all segments of society.

The campaign comprises five phases from now to 2030, with 18 specific targets. Notably, the culture, sports and tourism sector is uniformly and synchronously applying the “Six Clears” principle (clear person, clear task, clear time, clear responsibility, clear product, and clear authority) across 100% of its divisions and affiliated units. In addition, 100% of unit heads have signed responsibility commitments and directly registered key and breakthrough tasks. The department aims to reduce the processing time for eligible procedures by at least 30% and will strictly and promptly address collectives and individuals who lack responsibility, evade tasks, shift blame, or cause delays.

Vu Thanh Ngu emphasized that, to achieve the goals of the 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, the sector will focus on innovating leadership, direction, and management in accordance with the “Six Clears” principle and promoting administrative reform associated with digital transformation in state management. At the same time, it will proactively remove bottlenecks, unlock development resources, and strengthen communications efforts to build consensus and foster a vibrant emulation atmosphere, contributing to the construction of a civilized and modern Dong Nai.

Creating changes across all fields

According to Nguyen Thanh Nam, Head of the Tourism Management Division under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in response to the 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, the division will continue to promote the spirit of unity, responsibility, proactiveness, and creativity, striving to meet and exceed assigned targets for tourist arrivals and revenue. The division will advise on the development of mechanisms and policies for tourism development; step up tourism promotion, marketing, and cooperation in tourism product development; complete databases in support of digital transformation; improve the quality of state management; organize inspection activities; and ensure a civilized, safe, and friendly tourism environment.

From the viewpoint of managing and protecting heritage, Director of the Dong Nai Museum Nguyen Ngoc Yen said that the museum will focus on researching, collecting, organizing, and digitizing documents and artifacts, while creating databases to help manage, preserve, and promote heritage in a modern and effective way. The museum will also strengthen the restoration, embellishment, and effective utilization of relic sites associated with local cultural and tourism development.

“In the coming period, the Dong Nai Museum will continue to enhance the promotion and publicity of the museum’s image and relic sites. We will improve the quality of exhibitions, interpretation activities, and traditional education programs. At the same time, we will apply information technology and digital transformation, organize online exhibitions, and expand public access,” said Yen.

In response to the 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, the Dong Nai Art Theater and the Dong Nai Center for Culture and Cinema have been developing and staging numerous art programs, theatrical performances, cai luong excerpts, and film screenings to serve political tasks and the public, particularly ethnic minority communities, border areas, and workers in industrial zones. Through these activities, they contribute to spreading the spirit of emulation and joining efforts to build a civilized, modern, and culturally distinctive environment.

Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Sports Training and Competition Center Huynh Truc Phuong said that in the coming period, the center will mobilize maximum resources and encourage officials, public employees, workers, coaches, and athletes to resolutely and synchronously implement assigned tasks while striving to achieve sports performance targets at municipal, regional, national, and international tournaments. The center will also strengthen the organization of grassroots sports activities, contributing to improving public health and spreading the vibrant spirit of emulation throughout the sector.

With specific goals and targets, together with the determination of its affiliated departments and units, the 500-day-and-night emulation campaign is creating new momentum for the culture, sports, and tourism sector in Dong Nai. This serves as an important foundation for the sector to continue making breakthroughs and contributing positively to the goal of building a civilized, modern, and identity-rich Dong Nai in the new era.
