At the Dong Nai City venue, participants included Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee (CPC); Nguyen Quoc Dung, Vice President of Dong Nai VFF Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai City Labour Federation; together with more than 200 workers representing over 700,000 trade union members, civil servants and employees across the city.

During the event, delegates watched a documentary highlighting the spirit of the “Skilled Labor – High Productivity – Good Income” campaign, inspired by President Ho Chi Minh’s timeless call issued nearly eight decades ago: “Emulation is patriotic, those who are patriotic must emulate. And those that emulate are the most patriotic ones.” Throughout that journey, the Vietnamese trade union system has consistently accompanied, organized and inspired workers and employees, particularly through movements promoting skilled labor and innovation in the workplace.

At the conference, representatives of workers and the business community expressed their support for the emulation campaign, while outstanding employees shared stories about how their innovative ideas were developed and transformed into practical solutions that generated significant value for enterprises and society.

Addressing the event, Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized that the campaign had been launched at a highly appropriate and meaningful time.

She said the movement would help inspire creativity, self-reliance, resilience and a sense of responsibility among workers, while providing fresh momentum for improving productivity, incomes, welfare and working conditions. In doing so, it would help harmonize the interests of the State, businesses and employees, contributing to the country’s rapid and sustainable development.

The Vice State President stressed that the emulation campaign should contribute to building a modern, strong Vietnamese working class worthy of its role as a pioneering force in the nation’s industrialization and modernization process, in line with the direction set by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam at the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

She also called for the movement to be closely linked with the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, unleashing innovation and accelerating the application of science, technology and digital transformation in production and labor activities. At the same time, it’s necessary to create favorable conditions at workplaces for workers to develop initiatives, improve techniques, master new technologies and enhance productivity, quality and work efficiency. Greater attention should also be paid to identifying, nurturing, honoring and replicating exemplary models among workers nationwide.

On this occasion, the VGCL presented Creative Labour Certificates simultaneously at all 51 venues nationwide to honor trade union members and employees whose innovations, technical improvements and creative solutions have generated practical benefits.

The VGCL also officially launched the nationwide emulation campaign with the message: Each worker has a goal to strive for; each collective makes a commitment to action; each initiative creates new value; each working day contributes to national development.
