On April 17, Project Management Board 85 announced that it had issued a plan to conduct acceptance testing and gather feedback on the traffic organization plan. This is to ensure complete legal procedures and meet the deadline for opening to traffic some sections of the main route and several ramps at the Long Thanh interchange under Component Project 2 of the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau expressway before April 30, 2026, as required by the Ministry of Construction.

Accordingly, the acceptance testing work is expected to be completed before April 25. From April 21 to 25, the relevant agencies will finalize the traffic organization plan for submission to the Department for Roads of Viet Nam for approval.
Regarding the handover of the main route to put it into operation, it is anticipated that Project Management Board 85 will decide to put the major route sections into operation on April 29 after receiving approval from the Department for Roads of Vietnam for its related report.
To ensure adherence to the above-mentioned deadlines, Project Management Board 85 has requested contractors, design consultants, and supervision consultants to pay close attention; strengthen on-site and office personnel; and direct efforts toward completing all required dossiers and procedures, including project completion dossiers, traffic organization plans, etc. The relevant parties are also required to work closely with competent agencies during field inspections to receive, clarify, explain and rectify any outstanding issues (if any), thereby ensuring that all necessary conditions are met for the competent authority to approve acceptance and authorise the opening of the project – comprising the main route and selected connecting interchange ramps – before April 30, 2026.
Concurrently, contractors are required to prioritize the allocation of financial resources to the construction site, promptly mobilize additional labor, materials, and equipment, and strengthen construction supervision to ensure the timely completion of traffic safety facilities, drainage ditches, road shoulder reinforcement works, and other related items along the main route. These measures are intended to enable the investor to carry out acceptance testing and complete all remaining works within April 2026.
Contractors, supervision consultants, and design consultants will be held responsible if they are late in completing the remaining items or late in executing the relevant procedures and dossiers for acceptance, thereby delaying the schedule for opening the main route to traffic in April 2026 as required by the Ministry of Construction.
Component Project 2 of the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway, which passes through Dong Nai province, has a length of over 18 km.
