No longer abstract concepts, digital transformation is being concretized in Trang Bom commune through familiar, practical models, contributing to improving the quality of government services and gradually changing people's habits towards a more modern, convenient direction.
When digital transformation enters daily life
In Trang Bom Commune, residents experience the value of digital transformation in their daily routines. Numerous effective models have been implemented to meet the practical needs of the community.
At the commune’s Public Administration Service Center, the sight of officials dedicatedly guiding citizens on how to use smartphones for online administrative procedures has become familiar. To better support the public, the locality established a Technology Response Team with 16 members who provide "hand-holding" instructions, especially for the elderly and vulnerable groups who often face difficulties in accessing technology.
The story of Tran Van Nam (65, a local resident) clearly illustrates the effectiveness of this model. Initially, when he came to the commune's Public Administration Service Center to complete administrative procedures, Nam was worried because he was not familiar with technology. However, after being enthusiastically guided by the center's officials and civil servants, he was able to use his phone to submit documents and track the progress of the resolution. Later, he could even perform online administrative procedures at home, which was very convenient.
Beyond public administration, in Trang Bom Commune, digital transformation has been strongly implemented in security and order. The Trang Bom Commune Police pioneered the "AI Legal Assistant," an official channel providing legal information, helping residents quickly and conveniently look up regulations and administrative procedures.
In recent days, the Commune Police has implemented the Security Keychain model, distributing them to students in the area. Each keychain not only has the duty officer's phone number printed on it but also integrates a QR code that leads directly to the unit's official Facebook page. From a simple everyday item, residents can easily access verified information on security and order, warnings, and legal guidance.
Tran Ngoc Phuong, a student at Thong Nhat A High School, said: "When I received the keychain with the QR code, I really liked it and immediately scanned it. Thanks to that, I can follow the Commune Police's Facebook page to stay up to date on accurate legal information. I also instructed my relatives to use it to learn more useful information related to security and order."
Furthermore, the digitization of documents and books, linked with the Provincial Library via QR codes, has helped people, especially students, easily access knowledge anytime, anywhere. Instead of having to go to the library, people can now read books and look up documents for study and research with just a smartphone.

Enhancing governance and public service delivery
According to Le Ngoc Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Trang Bom Commune, digital transformation has been implemented systematically and effectively, achieving many remarkable results.
From the outset, the locality promptly issued specific plans to realize the digital transformation policy under the direction of leaders at all levels. At the same time, its information technology infrastructure has been gradually invested in and upgraded, meeting demand. As a result, the use of electronic documents with digital signatures has become standard practice, helping improve work processing efficiency. The online video conferencing system has been deployed in a coordinated manner, helping save time and costs while enhancing timeliness in direction and administration.
Notably, many of the commune’s digital transformation targets have met or exceeded the plans set out. In digital data, the percentage of digitized administrative procedure dossiers and results has surpassed the 50% target; the data reuse rate reached 75.1%, far exceeding the initial target of 20%, demonstrating clear effectiveness in data exploitation and use.
In building digital government, 100% of eligible administrative procedures at the commune level have been provided with full online public services, creating maximum convenience for people and businesses. In the field of digital economy, all small and medium-sized enterprises in the area use digital platforms in their production and business activities. In parallel, Trang Bom Commune achieved 100% household access to fiber-optic broadband internet services, creating a solid foundation for the development of a digital society.
Alongside infrastructure investment and the application of technology, the locality has also given special attention to communication and awareness-raising on digital transformation. Various forms of communication have been deployed, including public address systems and public electronic billboards, as well as social media platforms such as Zalo and Facebook. This undertaking has helped people gradually access, become familiar with, and use technological applications in daily life.
Le Ngoc Tien, Chairman of Trang Bom Commune People's Committee, added that in the time ahead, the locality will continue to consolidate the Steering Committee for Science and Technology Development, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, while closely linking digital transformation with administrative reform to improve the effectiveness of services for residents. The locality will also strengthen inspection and supervision, step up training programs, and raise awareness among citizens and businesses, thereby deepening, substantiating, and making digital transformation increasingly sustainable.
