Speaking at the ceremony, Ngo Duc Tuan, Specialist Level II Doctor and Director of Dong Nai General Hospital, highlighted a development journey spanning more than a century. From what was once a modest medical facility facing numerous difficulties and shortages, the hospital has gradually transformed into one of the major healthcare institutions in the Southeastern region. Currently, the hospital employs more than 1,700 staff members and operates at a capacity of 1,100 beds, receiving 3,000–4,000 patient visits daily for examination and treatment.

These achievements stem from strong unity and unwavering determination across the workforce. Driven by a deep sense of responsibility and professional dedication, the hospital has gradually consolidated its position, deployed a wide range of advanced specialized techniques, and continuously enhanced the quality of medical services. Particular attention has also been paid to staff members' well-being. The hospital has taken proactive steps to balance financial resources, maintain stable salaries and incomes, and invest in modern equipment and machinery to meet professional demands. This endeavor serves as an important foundation for doctors and medical staff to feel secure in their work and remain committed to the profession in the long term.

In the context of Dong Nai facing new development opportunities as it becomes a centrally governed city, Dong Nai General Hospital has identified specialized development as its direction, moving closer to the standards of central-level hospitals. The hospital is gradually developing specialized centers in areas such as ear, nose, and throat care, cardiology, and stroke care, while also sending staff for further training at major hospitals.

Ngo Duc Tuan, Director of Dong Nai General Hospital, emphasized that every healthcare worker must continuously strive to improve professional competence while upholding medical ethics. At the same time, he underscored the importance of unity and collective effort among all staff in building a sustainably developing hospital in the new phase.

Representing the hospital’s younger generation, Specialist Level I Doctor Nguyen Tat Trung, Head of the General Planning Division, Deputy Secretary of the grassroots Youth Union of the Dong Nai Department of Health, and officer in charge of the Dong Nai General Hospital’s Youth Union inter-chapter, expressed deep gratitude to previous generations of physicians. Standing at a historic juncture as Dong Nai prepares to become a centrally governed city, and inheriting the traditions of previous generations, the young generation of doctors is increasingly aware of its role in promoting knowledge sharing, applying science and technology, enhancing professional expertise, and promoting scientific research. Through these efforts, they aim to contribute their energy and dedication to the hospital’s development, elevating it to become a special-class hospital in the near future.
