Dong Nai: Heartwarming gratitude activities on occasion of April 30 and May 1

On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2026) and the 140th anniversary of International Workers’ Day (May 1), many localities in Dong Nai Province have organized gratitude activities to promote the tradition of "Drinking water, remembering its source" and express deep appreciation to those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

On the morning of April 28, a delegation of Binh Long Ward leaders led by Nguyen Thi Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Ward People's Council, visited and presented gifts to severely wounded soldiers including: Pham Trung Truc, residing in Phu Loc Quarter; Chau Van Dung, residing in Hung Phu Quarter; and Nguyen Phuoc Loc, residing in Phu Binh Quarter.

At the places visited, Binh Long Ward leaders quickly informed the wounded soldiers about the ward's socio-economic situation in the first months of the year and its future orientations. At the same time, they cordially inquired about their health and lives while also expressing deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of the wounded soldiers, who sacrificed a part of their flesh and blood in the national liberation wars and national reunification.

Binh Long Ward leaders also hoped that in the coming time, the wounded soldiers would continue to promote the tradition of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" as a spiritual support and a bright example for the younger generation to follow, educating their children and grandchildren to actively participate in emulation movements and campaigns in the locality, contributing to the increasingly developed and prosperous homeland.

*Thien Hung Commune visits and presents gifts to people with meritorious services on April 30

On April 28, a delegation from the People's Committee of Thien Hung Commune, led by Phan Thi Thu Trang, Vice Chairwoman of the Commune People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution in the area.

The delegation visited the family of Truong Van Cang, a severely wounded soldier with an 85% disability rate, in Hamlet 9, Thien Hung Commune. In a solemn atmosphere, Phan Thi Thu Trang, Vice Chairwoman of the Commune People's Committee, cordially inquired about the health and family life, expressing deep gratitude for Cang's great sacrifices and contributions to the cause of national liberation.

On the morning of April 28, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trang Bom Commune organized two delegations to visit and present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and severely ill and wounded soldiers in the commune.

The delegations visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Co, Trinh Van Chien (81% wounded soldier), and Thieu Quang Luy (84% sick soldier) in Hamlet 1; two 81% wounded soldiers, Vo Thanh Hai and Dinh Hoang Ha, both in Hamlet 4, and Tran Quoc Trach (81% wounded soldier) in Quang Phat Hamlet.

At each place of visit, the commune leaders cordially inquired about the health and living conditions of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Co and the wounded and sick soldiers. The commune leaders affirmed: The Party Committee, government, and people of Trang Bom Commune always remember and are deeply grateful for the sacrifices, blood, and invaluable contributions of previous generations in achieving the independence, freedom, and development as they are today.

On the morning of April 28, a delegation of leaders from the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Vien Commune, led by Nguyen Quoc Tan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to families of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and people who participated in the resistance war and were exposed to Agent Orange with a disability rate of 60% or more in the area.
