(ĐN)- Vinh Cuu district chapter of the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha (VBS) has recently organized a ceremony to pray for peace in the East Sea following China’s illegal positioning of its Haiyang Shiyou-981 drilling rig in Vietnam’s waters.
At the ceremony, which took place at Kim Long Pagoda in Tan Binh commune, the chapter also called on Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in Vinh Cuu to raise fund for fishermen, coast guard and fisheries surveillance forces who are constantly safeguarding national sovereignty at sea.
