(ĐN)- The Medical Centre in Bien Hoa city has launched an extensive mosquito control campaign from October 15 to November 1. The centre’s staff sprayed nearly 200 litres of chemical substances in the five wards of Trang Dai, Long Binh, Long Binh Tan, Tam Hiep and Phuoc Tan where have been hit hard by the disease in order to kill mosquito larvae and reduce the risk of dengue fever.

More than 1,200 cases of dengue fever were reported in Bien Hoa city since the beginning of this year. This figure represented an increase of over 10 per cent from the same period last year.
