300 volunteers who are officials and state employees in the province registered to take part in the campaign. Accordingly, 318 units of blood were collected to help patients.
This was the second time that the province has launched blood donation program in 2010 that encouraged the participation of officials, state employees and students in the province.
The Blood Transfusion and Haematology Centre has collected 3,097 units of blood through blood donation campaigns.
