The Month of Action for Children 2009 will take place from May 15 to June 30 this year under the theme “Joining Hands for Poor Children”.
(ĐN)- Support for poor children will be top priority during the upcoming Action Month for Children launched by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA). The Month of Action for Children 2009 will take place from May 15 to June 30 this year under the theme “Joining Hands for Poor Children”.
The action month aims at four goals: calling on the entire society to be involved in child welfare and protection and support for their education; heightening the sense of responsibility in the family and the community for the welfare and protection of children, especially poor children; organising safe study and play activities for children during the summer months; and building infrastructure for children.
In response to the Action Month, the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs will co-ordinate with local relevant agencies and community to organise recreational activities for children during the summer holiday. These activities will be an opportunity for teenagers to train their physical fitness, helping to inspire them to educate their personality and also helping them to avoid social evils.
