(ĐN)- On March 30, Bien Hoa city’s charitable delegation in cooperation with Dinh Quan district’s Red Cross Chapter presented 260 gifts to poor people in Phu Tan, Phu Vinh and Thanh Son communes in the district. The gifts, worth VND130,000 each, included rice, sugar, clothes, cooking oid, salt. Earlier, the Chapter granted VND25 million to 5 poor households in Thanh Son commune. The amount of money was donated by the provincial Red Cross Association to help poor households to overcome difficulties. Accordingly, each family received donation worth VND5 million to develop household business.
On March 29, Xuan Loc district’s Red Cross Chapter coordinated with Giac Ngo Newspaper and HCM city-based Hung Vuong Hospital’s doctors and nurses to provide free medical check-ups and medicine for 800 poor people and ethnic minorities in Xuan Tam commune. On this occasion, Giac Ngo Newspaper gave 200 gifts valued at VND200,000 each to the poor.
