(ĐN)- The second cultural-sports festival of ethnic groups in Dong Nai province, co-organized by the provincial Committee for Ethnic Minorities and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is slated for April 24-29.
The sport festivals of ethnic groups in districts of Dong Nai are held in each district in order to select athletes to compete in the second cultural-sports festival of ethnic groups in Dong Nai province. The participants compete in stick pushing, men’s football, men’s volleyball, crossbow and tug-of-war.
The winning teams at the second cultural-sports festival of ethnic groups in Dong Nai province will qualify for the sixth sports festival of ethnic groups around the country to held in Ninh Thuan province in the coming time as well as will participate in the Vietnam ethnic minority cultural day to be held for the first time at the culture and tourism village of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups in Son Tay, Hanoi from April 18th to 19th, 2009.
