(ĐN)- On December 29, Dong Nai provincial Women Union held a ceremony to review its activities and the women movements in 2008. Accordingly, the union in the past time has made many efforts to support women under difficult circumstances, develop women’s movements and raise the quality of activities of women’s associations at all levels.
According to the report, in 2008, the union provided loans worth more than VND230 billion to 85,000 members, help them to stabilize production and improve living condition.
Besides, the women associations at all levels awarded 2,263 Nguyen Thi Dinh scholarships worth a total of VND1.1 billion and 1.227 scholarships valued at nearly VND56 million to poor students.
