A huge night festival with performances by 1,500 artists and singers from Ho Chi Minh city and Dong Nai, and with flower garlands and colored lanterns and firework displays was organized on December 27 at Tran Bien Literature Temple in Bien Hoa city to celebrate the 310th anniversary of Bien Hoa- Dong Nai region.
A huge night festival with performances by 1,500 artists and singers from Ho Chi Minh city and Dong Nai, and with flower garlands and colored lanterns and firework displays was organized on December 27 at Tran Bien Literature Temple in Bien Hoa city to celebrate the 310th anniversary of Bien Hoa- Dong Nai region. The Festival attracted over 10000 people that included local people, the provincial leaders, guests from Ho Chi Minh city, Long An and Binh Thuan provinces. In addition to local attendees, the festival greeted some very distinguished guests including senior officials from central agencies and high-ranking delegation of Gyeongnam province in Korea.
Local people and guests attended an incense offering ceremony to commemorate ancestors and pray for more people who are willing to devote their talent to make Bien Hoa-Dong Nai region develop. The five-fruit tray arranged in dragon and phoenix shapes, a grilled chopped meat with its length of 2.5 meters and diameter of 1.2 meter, rice ball with its weight of 310 kilograms and five cake trays were presented at the ceremony.
After the offering ceremony, local people and guests watched an art performance designed for celebrating the 310th anniversary of Bien Hoa- Dong Nai region. This performance entitled “the impression of Dong Nai”, which was divided into four scenes, each tracing the history of the region over the past 310 years, was very enjoyable and interesting. The festival was closed with the sending of 310 flying lanterns to the sky, presenting a desire for prosperity, civilization, equality and happiness of Bien Hoa – Dong Nai region. The festival left a deep impression on the audience.
