282 individuals honored for outstanding contributions

(ĐN)- 282 individuals were honored with Dong Nai Golden Star Award at a ceremony in the province’s Sport-Culture Complex on December 20 in recognition of their contributions to the development of Dong Nai. The honoured people are local and foreign individuals in various fields. Among of them are familiar names such as Mai Thanh Giao, Head of the Department of Social Order-related Crime Investigation Police, who made all efforts to maintain the local order and security situation; Pham Huu Ngon, Dong Nai-based Luong The Vinh high school’s former student, who won many IT awards at international and national competitions; Nguyen Hai Thao, Sepak Takraw player; Duong Quoc Dinh photographer with many international prizes; Doctor Vu Cong Tam who made significant contributions in treatment for children; Doctor Phan Huy Anh Vu, Director of Dong Nai General Hospita; Le Van Kiem, Chairman of the Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading J.S Company; Venerable Thich Minh Chanh, Head of the Executive Board of the Dong Nai Buddhist Church; Priest Tran Xuan Thao, Head of the provincial Committee for Solidarity of Catholics; Folk artisan Nam Noi, etc.

Besides, some others were honored for their silent contributions to society. They included Nguyen Thi Ngoc, a nurse of Thong Nhat Regional General Hospital; Hoang Thi Van Nga, teacher of Dong Nai Centre for Disabled Children; Le Van Ut, a well-producing farmer in Vinh Cuu district, Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, an excellent employee of Biti’s; Nguyen Thi Thanh Van, worker of Ong Que Rubber Farm.

As known, Dong Nai Golden Star Award honored not only domestic individuals, but also foreign entrepreneurs who made real, large contributions to the community and environmental protection, besides meeting the criteria of good performance in business. They are General Director of Ajinomoto Vietnam Takashi Mayama, General Director of Fujitsu Vietnam Takanori Yamasita, General Director of Big C Dong Nai Billand Pascal, and former General Director of TaeKwang Vina Yoo Jae Sung, etc.

On this occasion, the province honored many intellectuals, scientists from neighbor provinces for their valuable contributions to the development of Dong Nai.
