During the past 11 months, the farmers’ associations at all levels mobilized more than VND2 billion from their members to help poor farmer households. Particularly, they supported 30,000 seedlings, 35 tones of food and nearly 10,000 breeding animals for 4,233 poor families. Besides, Vinh Cuu district farmers’ association cooperated with Ba Ria-Vung Tau province’s charity association and HCM City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients to provide free check-ups and medicine to nearly 1,000 people.
