(ĐN)- Recently, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has announced that Trang Bom district completed replacing makeshift, dilapidated houses of poor households. Before that, Bien Hoa city, Long Khanh town, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts have basically eradicated makeshift houses.
From 1998 until now, the district built and upgraded more than 1,220 charity houses with a total cost of over VND10 billion, financed by local individuals, organizations and the province’s Fund for the Poor.
During the past time, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the district have made many efforts to mobilise all available resources to eradicate temporary houses for poor; charity performances were also organized to raise money for the poor, said Vice Chairman of Trang Bom district’s Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Phiet.
