(ĐN)- A charity performance was held on November 18 at the province’s Sport-Culture Complex to raise fund for the poor. At the performance, the organization board received donations of more than VND2.53 billion from organizations, individuals and enterprises.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, said that from the beginning of the year until now, the local people and enterprises donated to build 1,166 charity houses worth a total of more than VND16 billion, upgrade 101 houses with a total cost of VND477.5 million, and help ten thousands of poor households escape poverty. However, in the province, there are still approximately 20,000 poor households in need of communitys support. Therefore, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee encourage the public to continue their donations to the poor.
