The Cultural Festival of the Southeastern Ethnic Groups entitled “The color and fragrant of the Southeastern region” opened in the evening of November 11 in Ma Da commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province. The opening ceremony was attended by thousands of local people and visitors who had opportunity to see amazing and diverse artistic performances, including dance, music and more. The ceremony began with 31 drummers playing in unison. 31 drums symbolized for Bien Hoa- Dong Nai region’s 310 years of foundation and development. In addition, a wide range of activities took place during the ceremony, including traditional art and costume performances. The Festival provided an opportunity to honour the unique traditional cultural values full of typical identities of ethnic people in the Southeastern area of Vietnam
At the festival, the attendants were impressed by the show of traditional dresses by ethnic groups’ young girls and men. The festival also included typical artistic performances that reflected cultural features in the daily life and spiritual life of ethnic groups.

The festival is a good opportunity for ethnic groups to exchange cultural activities, strengthen solidarity and share experiences in conserving and promoting traditions.
