(ĐN) - To celebrate the United Nation’s Day of Vesak 2008, on May 15, Dong Nai Buddhist Sangha visited and presented gifts to five Vietnamese heroic mothers and five Buddhist families.
On this occasion, Duc Quang pagoda’s Tue Tinh Duong Clinic in cooperation with Ngoc Uyen monastery visited and gave gifts to heroic mothers, policy and martyr families in the province.
The worship places and major streets throughout the province have been decorated with flags, flowers, banners and lotus shaped lanterns to welcome the UN Day.
The main ceremony will be held in the morning of May 19 at the province’s culture and sports complex centre
