Thong Nhat district’s people actively take part in activities "paying debts of gratitude"

(ĐN) “Improving the spiritual and material lives of policy beneficiaries and revolutionary families is responsibility of not only the Party and Government but also social organizations and the entire people” Chairman of Thong Nhat district’s Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Van Chu said. Therefore, Dinh Quan district’s Front Fatherland Committee has called on local people to actively take part in activities “Paying debts of gratitude” during the past time.

(ĐN) - “Improving the spiritual and material lives of policy beneficiaries and revolutionary families is responsibility of not only the Party and Government but also social organizations and the entire people” Chairman of Thong Nhat district’s Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Van Chu said. Therefore, Dinh Quan district’s Front Fatherland Committee has called on local people to actively take part in activities “Paying debts of gratitude” during the past time. From 2004-2006, the Committee has mobilized donations from organizations, enterprises and individuals in the district to build 433 gratitude and charity houses, take care of families of social welfare policies, visit and present gifts to poor policy families, raise fund of “paying gratitude”. The heroic Vietnamese mothers have been also looked after and fostered for the rest time of life by Dinh Quan district’s Military Steering Committee, the branch of AgriBank and the Youth Union. The branch lend capital to policy beneficiaries and revolutionary families, help them develop production and have stable lives.

Presently, there are still six families of policy beneficiaries in need of assistance. Accordingly, the district will continue to mobilize donations to provide comprehensive assistance to the families in the near time. Annually, the Committee coordinates with health agencies, hospitals inside and outside the district to offer free health check-ups and medicine to policy beneficiaries.
