(ĐN)- On June 6, Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association organized a conference to review its activities in the first six months of this year. Accordingly, the social programmes like the program “Tet for the Poor and Agent Orange Victims"…, which were launched by the association, have been carried out effectively. During the past six months, the association mobilized over VND4 billion from organizations and individuals to help the poor and policy families; offering scholarships to outstanding poor students; offering wheelchairs to disabled people; building 110 charity houses worth VND864 million in total, visiting and presenting 1,550 gifts to poor people in Kon Tum province. Total expenditure for the programmes was more than VND18 billion.
