Japan grants relief to Viet Nam

The Government of Japan has decided to provide emergency assistance worth approximately 20 million Yen to help ease losses caused by Typhoon Xangsane that swept through Viet Nams central region recently.

The Government of Japan has decided to provide emergency assistance worth approximately 20 million Yen to help ease losses caused by Typhoon Xangsane that swept through Viet Nams central region recently.

 

The decision was made "with a view to give humanitarian assistance to victims of the typhoon and on the basis of friendly relations between Japan and Viet Nam," said a press release dated Oct. 17 by the Embassy of Japan in Viet Nam.

 

The emergency relief includes tents, generators, blankets, water purifiers and plastic rolls.
