(ĐN)- Late last week, a meeting to summarize the second phase of Vietnam-Belgium Credit project for period 2002-2006 was held in Dong Nai by the the Provincial Women’s Association. In 2002, the credit project implemented in Long Thanh, Nhon Trach districts and Bien Hoa city to lend capital to poor women for production and business development. During the past 4 years, 215 poor households have lifted out of poverty with more than 3800 poor women having received loans of VND 1.495 billion through Vietnam-Belgium Credit programme.
At the meeting, representatives of management boards of the project from the provincial districts stressed the need to make some changes and further improvements relating credit activities of the project in order to get more effective results in the third phase of the project.
