(ĐN)- To mark the 59th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2006), the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee is mobilizing agencies, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to contribute to “paying debts of gratitude” fund. Over the past years, numerous people has involved in activities paying debts of gratitude and remembering the source while drinking water in relation to veteran revolutionaries, persons with meritorious service, and social policy beneficiaries. It was reported that the fund has helped build or repair more than 4000 houses as well as presented 2,059 saving books to people receiving priority policies with total value of VND 1.894 billion. Thus, the fund effectively assisted families credited with meritorious service to the country and helped settle them to have a stable life in their respective localities. However, there are still more than 700 social-policy families living under difficult conditions that need assistance. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee greatly welcomes donations from organizations and individuals throughout the country.
