(ĐN)- A ceremony was held at the provincial meeting hall on April 27 to grant capital assistance and give gifts to 170 agent orange victims’ families by Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Chapter.
With support of the Provincial Red Cross Chapter, the Agent Orange Victims Fund has been established to provide financial and material assistance to the victims since 1999. Over the past years, the financial and material aid grant from the Agent Orange Victims Fund to infected families amounted to VND 15-20 billion. The Provincial Red Cross Chapter has provided assistance to infected families through a wide range of charitable programs including building houses for them, presenting wheelchairs, offering free medical care and treatment, giving social and economic support, creating new job opportunities so increase their household income and improve their standard living.
