The meeting also clarified the key requirements, objectives and major targets for each proposed product, focusing on more effective technology application, transfer and commercialization. It also identified coordination mechanisms, resources and solutions needed to effectively implement the strategic technology development program.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Truong Son stressed the need for relevant departments and agencies to strengthen coordination and actively participate in identifying and developing strategic technology products in their respective areas of responsibility. He also emphasized the need to make cooperation among the State, research and educational institutions, and businesses more effective.
The Vice Chairman asked the DoST to take the lead in working with research institutes and universities, including the VNUHCM and local universities, while conducting field surveys to discuss, clarify and reach consensus on proposals for strategic technology development. The department was also asked to identify specific strategic technology products that are feasible and aligned with the city's development needs.
The DoST should regularly monitor progress, provide timely updates and advise the City People's Committee on measures to address difficulties and obstacles. This will help finalize the proposed list of strategic technologies and strategic technology products for development in Dong Nai, which will then be submitted to the city's Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation for consideration before being sent to the MoST.
