With an urgent need to accelerate the construction of critical transport infrastructure so that key connectivity routes can be put into operation in sync with Long Thanh International Airport by the end of 2026, leaders of the Dong Nai Party Committee have stepped up on-site inspections and supervision of major national and municipal projects.
Through regular reviews and close monitoring of developments, city leaders have promptly made necessary adjustments and implemented flexible measures to definitively resolve obstacles arising from land clearance, construction materials, and other issues. At the same time, they have firmly required contractors and construction units to proactively overcome on-site difficulties and bring projects to completion ahead of schedule. Construction momentum at many project sites has visibly improved since the city's Steering Committee for Compensation, Site Clearance and Resettlement Support and the Steering Group for the implementation of key projects and works in Dong Nai City adopted more focused, targeted working methods. Members of these bodies have actively stepped in with a strong sense of responsibility, closely monitoring each project and urging progress to ensure it stays ahead of schedule while maintaining construction quality.
Localities and agencies through which projects pass have seriously fulfilled their delegated responsibilities and exercised their assigned authority, showing the initiative and determination to act in the common interest. They have proactively handled matters within their authority rather than shifting responsibility or waiting for instructions from higher levels. Party committees and local authorities have clearly assigned personnel, tasks, responsibilities, authorities, timelines, and expected results, while closely coordinating to complete each specific task and project component in line with the prescribed schedule. Site clearance is no longer a bottleneck for major projects. The principle of ensuring that results are “substantive, measurable, controllable and assessable,” adopted under the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign themed “Solidarity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthrough, Building a Civilized and Modern Dong Nai,” has now become an action mandate for the entire political system.
Every major project completed ahead of the original schedule benefits both businesses and the wider economy by boosting revenues and increasing contributions to the state budget. A seamless system of strategic transport corridors not only serves production and people's daily lives but also becomes a key factor determining the city's competitiveness in attracting investment. Essential interregional projects underway today will also play a role in shaping the future of Dong Nai, the Southeastern region, and the country for decades to come. The city is therefore determined to act decisively and fulfill its mission to lead the way in opening up new development space for the entire region.
In particular, with economic efficiency as a core objective, Dong Nai is focusing on improving the effectiveness of public investment by managing and preparing for the operation and exploitation of major infrastructure projects from the outset, in line with the principle that investment should deliver commensurate results. These projects are expected to bring tangible benefits to residents while directly creating momentum for double-digit economic growth. The Party organization and local administration are working in unity, demonstrating determination and pursuing breakthroughs in thinking and implementation, while seeking every feasible solution to immediately leverage the advantages of the city's superior transport connectivity and generate spillover effects across the development landscape. By emphasizing the role of leaders and consistently upholding the principle that commitments must be followed by action, Dong Nai aims to strengthen its capacity and rise to the challenge of becoming a key national growth pole.
