The 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, currently being implemented by the Dong Nai City Youth Union, is not only an environment for young people to develop, contribute, and volunteer, but also a peak period for spreading responsibility, compassion, and the aspiration to serve the community among the younger generation.
This year's campaign continues to feature numerous practical projects and activities aligned with local needs, including: providing support for students taking the national high school graduation examination; eliminating environmental pollution hotspots; planting 300 trees; assisting 17,000 disadvantaged children; offering career guidance to 23,000 young people; introducing employment opportunities to more than 9,000 youth; and providing entrepreneurship training for at least 4,000 young participants.
A notable highlight of this year's summer youth volunteer campaign is its continued focus on border areas to ensure that all eight border communes hold at least one social welfare program. These efforts are not only aimed at sharing difficulties but also at strengthening community connections and providing comprehensive care for students in border areas, both materially and spiritually.
Keeping pace with digital transformation requirements, the Dong Nai Youth Union has also launched the Digital Summer Campaign. Under the campaign, each commune and ward will set up at least one “Digital Literacy Team” to help residents access and effectively use digital platforms, online public services, and applications that support daily life. It will also improve digital capacity for more than 176,000 young people, children, and residents. This is not only a volunteer activity but also a practical solution that helps narrow the digital divide and promote the development of digital government and a digital society at the grassroots level.
Completing such a large volume of work within a short period requires initiative, determination, and close coordination among Youth Union organizations at all levels. Youth Union officials are expected to closely follow campaign plans, clearly assign responsibilities, demonstrate leadership, promptly address challenges, and mobilize enthusiastic young volunteers with professional expertise and digital skills to participate in community activities. Equally important is the support and cooperation of Party committees, local authorities, and relevant agencies throughout the implementation process.
For each volunteer participant, the campaign presents an opportunity to apply knowledge, skills, and dedication through practical contributions to the community. Volunteers are encouraged to demonstrate responsibility and commitment in assisting residents, particularly those in remote areas, ethnic minority communities, and border regions. Special attention should be given to organizing healthy recreational activities and providing knowledge and life-skills education for disadvantaged children.
The enthusiasm and initiative of young people during the summer of 2026 also contribute meaningfully to the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign launched under Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU, issued by the Dong Nai City Party Committee’s Executive Board on May 1, 2026, with the spirit of “Solidarity - Discipline - Efficiency - Breakthrough, building a civilized and modern Dong Nai.” The youth projects and activities carried out today not only help improve people's quality of life, promote administrative reform, and narrow development gaps, but also continue to strengthen the image of Dong Nai’s young generation as dynamic, responsible, and compassionate citizens, a pioneering force working together to build a rapidly developing, sustainable, and modern city.
