Dong Nai Labor Federation reviews Workers’ Month 2026 and launches special emulation campaign

On June 7, the Dong Nai City Labor Federation held a conference to review the implementation of Workers’ Month 2026 and officially launch the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign themed “Unity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthrough, building a civilized and modern Dong Nai.”

The event was attended by Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Nguyen Quoc Dung, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai City and Chairman of the Dong Nai City Labor Federation; representatives of departments and agencies; Trade Union officials; and more than 200 workers from across the city.

Under the theme “Vietnamese Workers: Innovation and Productivity Enhancement,” Workers’ Month 2026 was implemented effectively at all levels of the Trade Union system throughout Dong Nai City. Activities were designed with a strong grassroots focus, placing youth union members and workers at the center while creating positive impacts across the business community and workforce.

Hundreds of youth union members and employees who had suffered workplace accidents, serious illnesses, or difficult living conditions received timely visits and support. Meanwhile, a wide range of cultural and sporting activities helped improve the spiritual and social well-being of workers throughout the city.

At the conference, Chairman of the Dong Nai City Labor Federation Nguyen Quoc Dung officially launched the labor sector’s participation in the citywide 500-day-and-night special emulation campaign, themed “Unity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthrough, building a civilized and modern Dong Nai.” According to Dung, Trade Unions at all levels are committed to promoting the traditions of solidarity and innovation while inspiring a strong sense of responsibility and determination among youth union officials, members, and workers. These efforts aim to contribute to the successful implementation of Dong Nai’s socio-economic development goals in the new development phase. A key target of the campaign is to generate 9,000 initiatives, scientific research projects, technical innovations, and management solutions during the 2026–2027 period.

“Trade unions across the city are determined to contribute to the citywide goal of developing 9,000 initiatives, scientific studies, technical improvements, and management solutions in 2026–2027 period. We will also continue to sustain and expand the effectiveness of this movement through 2030, contributing to the successful achievement of Dong Nai’s socio-economic development objectives,” Nguyen Quoc Dung emphasized.

The leaders of the City Labor Federation expressed confidence that, with the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, and creativity among Dong Nai’s workers, public employees, and labor force, as well as the support of Party committees, local authorities, businesses, and society, the movement “Skilled Labor, High Productivity, Good Income” will continue to spread widely. The campaign is expected to create a vibrant competitive spirit throughout the city, helping accelerate sustainable economic growth while contributing to the development of a modern, civilized, and prosperous Dong Nai.

On this occasion, the Dong Nai City Labor Federation presented 50 support packages to workers suffering from workplace accidents, serious illnesses, or particularly difficult circumstances. Each package included VND2 million in cash along with gifts. The federation also honored and rewarded 37 collectives for their outstanding achievements in organizing activities during Workers’ Month 2026 and in responding to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health 2026.
