On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Armed Forces of Dong Nai City under Military Region 7 (May 15, 1946 – 2026), General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, sent a congratulatory letter to all officers, professional military personnel, non-commissioned officers and soldiers who have served and are serving in the armed forces of Dong Nai City.

In the letter, on behalf of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang extended his warm regards and best wishes to all officers and soldiers of the Dong Nai City armed forces.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense emphasized that over the past 80 years of building, fighting and development, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, directly the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 7, as well as the Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province (now Dong Nai City), and with the close support of local authorities, people and through the close, effective coordination of agencies and units inside and outside the military, generations of officers, professional military personnel, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Dong Nai armed forces have upheld the noble traditions of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army as well as the resilient and heroic tradition of the Eastern region.

The officers and soldiers have remained united, resourceful and steadfast, recording numerous achievements during the struggles for national liberation, the defense of the Southwestern border, while also taking the lead in disaster prevention and epidemic control efforts.

At the same time, the Dong Nai armed forces have earned significant achievements in maintaining political security and social order, contributing actively to the cause of national liberation as well as the construction and firm defense of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

For these contributions, the Dong Nai armed forces have been honored by the Party and the State with the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces along with many other prestigious awards.

Commending the achievements and maturity of the Dong Nai armed forces over the past 80 years, General Phan Van Giang expressed his hope that in the new era, the force would continue to uphold its heroic tradition of “Loyalty and devotion, courage and resilience, proactiveness and creativity, unity and determination to win.”

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense also called on all officers and soldiers of the Dong Nai armed forces to continue promoting the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, in association with the campaign “Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, deserving the title of Uncle Ho’s Soldiers.” He urged the force to strive for excellence in all assigned tasks, build a clean and strong Party organization and comprehensively strong, exemplary units, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and joining hands to build a prosperous, civilized and happy nation.
