The policy to develop Dong Nai into a centrally governed city has garnered strong public interest, consensus and high expectations among residents across the province.
Many opinions have expressed optimism about the new development orientation, viewing it as an opportunity for Dong Nai Province to make breakthroughs in infrastructure, economic growth and quality of life. Residents also hope that development must go hand in hand with sustainable planning, preservation of cultural values and social welfare, so that all strata of people can benefit from the locality’s transformation.

Writer NGUYEN THAI HAI, member of the Literature Board, Dong Nai Association of Literature and Arts: Expectations for elevating the organization and comprehensive development of literary and artistic activities

Following the announcement that Dong Nai will be established as a centrally governed city, I am very happy and hopeful for positive changes in the local literary and artistic life in the coming time. Accordingly, under the regulations, the Dong Nai Association of Literature and Arts will be consolidated and operate under the model of a union of specialized associations. The current Literature Board will develop into the Dong Nai Writers' Association with a larger scale, creating conditions to expand the number of members; at the same time, enhancing professionalism in creative activities and promoting works.
I also hope that when Dong Nai becomes a city, the two areas of literary theory and criticism and translation will receive appropriate investment. In addition, the Dong Nai Writers' Association in the future will establish a new Children's Literature Board. This is not only a field with great potential but also has important significance in nurturing the souls and personalities of the younger generation, and at the same time creating a pipeline of successors for long-term creative forces.
Le Dat Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tam Phuoc Ward and Secretary of the ward’s Youth Union:
Motivation to improve the quality of young human resources

For me, once Dong Nai becomes a centrally-governed city, it will be a significant milestone that will open up new development space for Dong Nai in general and Tam Phuoc Ward in particular. As a centrally governed city, Dong Nai is expected to attract stronger investment resources and develop modern, synchronized infrastructure.
In areas like Tam Phuoc, home to a large number of young workers, this presents a great opportunity for the youth to access more professional working environments, earn stable incomes and benefit from improved conditions for learning, skills development, and integration.
At the same time, urban development will place higher demands on the quality of young human resources, motivating the youth to continuously improve themselves. Youth Union organizations will also have better conditions to innovate operations, accelerate digital transformation and develop more effective models for gathering young people, aligned with the context of rapid urbanization.
Priest NGUYEN MINH CHANH, Parish Priest of An Khuong Parish in Tan Hung Commune under Phu Cuong Diocese:
Better care for the lives of the people

In recent days, the government has organized public consultations on Dong Nai province becoming a centrally-governed city and 10 communes becoming wards. I fully agree and support this policy. At the same time, the Catholic community in the locality also agrees and expresses joy at this important issue. In my opinion, when Dong Nai is elevated to city status and many communes are upgraded to wards, this first demonstrates the development of the locality in meeting the criteria for urban development as regulated. At the same time, it creates a greater opportunity for the locality to continue promoting its strengths and better caring for the lives of the people.
Ngo Minh Tuyen, Director of VINAEGG Production and Trading Co., Ltd. in Tan Phu Commune:
Effective policies are needed to develop deep processing

Tan Phu is one of the communes in Dong Nai that is about to become a ward, opening up great development opportunities. In the past, enterprises expand their investment in large-scale machinery systems and modern technology with the aspiration of bringing livestock products to the world. Accordingly, enterprises have a strong demand to invest in modern machinery and technology, yet accessing preferential capital and support remains very difficult. What enterprises need most right now is capital. Particularly, enterprises strongly hope to access preferential capital and support for high-tech investment; they hope for more practical preferential policies regarding medium and long-term support capital in the field of deep processing of agricultural products.
Besides, enterprises also hope that localities will pay attention to investing in and forming strictly controlled, traceable livestock and cultivation areas that meet the standards of export markets; creating momentum for enterprises to continue expanding exports to demanding markets, bringing high added value.
LE MY HOA, a resident in Bien Hoa Ward:
Hoping that the quality of life for residents will improve

Not only me, but also a large number of residents in Dong Nai province are very excited about the news that the locality is aiming to become a centrally-governed city. Taken as a whole, Dong Nai currently meets all 7 out of 7 criteria as stipulated, with some even exceeding the requirements.
The upgrade to a centrally-governed city is expected to help Dong Nai receive stronger attention and support from the central government in many fields. In particular, the process of economic restructuring towards industry - services - trade, along with the development of logistics and infrastructure investment, will be strongly promoted. With synchronized upgrades in technical and social infrastructure, residents’ quality of life is expected to improve steadily in a more sustainable and modern direction.
Nguyen Huy Binh, a resident of Phuoc An Commune:
Hoping urban agriculture will receive more attention for development
When Dong Nai province becomes a centrally-governed city, the urbanization rate will be faster, and investment in infrastructure will be greater, creating conditions for the development of trade, services, tourism, etc. This will be a good opportunity to expand local consumer market, while the transportation and trading of shrimp products in particular, and many types of agricultural products in general, will also be more convenient. However, a significant challenging is that the land fund for agricultural development will be narrowed. Land prices may also increase, which will directly affect agricultural production activities. I hope that Dong Nai will maintain adequate land reserves for agricultural development and adopt practical policies to strongly develop urban and high-tech agriculture.
