The Fund granted five loans worth VND 85 million to former prisoners who had received amnesties in Bien Hoa city at a ceremony held in the city Police Department on June 6.
(ĐN)- A fund to help former prisoners who had received amnesties was established in Dong Nai on October 18, 2010. The Fund aims to mobilize financial resources from entrepreneurs in the province to help those who received amnesty return to ordinary life after their release.
The Fund granted five loans worth VND 85 million to former prisoners who had received amnesties in Bien Hoa city at a ceremony held in the city Police Department on June 6. Particularly, two people received a loan valued at VND 20 million and three got a loan worth VND 15 million.
At the ceremony, Major-general Nguyen Van Khanh, Director of the Dong Nai Police Department and the president of the Fund expressed his belief that the loans granted by the Fund would help locals who received amnesty overcome difficulties and stablise their life as well as help them re-integrate into the community and become useful citizens.
