(ĐN)- Dong Nai provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization on June 17 organized a ceremony to review its activities in the first half and set tasks for the last six months of the year.
Over the past six months, the mass mobilization sector has made efforts to take care of the poor, ethnic minority people and policy beneficiaries, encourage people of all social sections to unite, maintain political stability and take an active part in patriotic emulation.
Besides, the sector mobilized over VND9 billion to build and hand over 428 charity houses, raised more than VND1.7 billion to the provincial Fund for the Poor, presented gifts totaling VND600 million to soldiers nationwide, raised funds to support cancer patients, etc.
In the last six months of 2011, the sector will continue to improve its way of working to increase effectiveness; strengthen the close relationship between the Party and the people; reinforce great national unity, and mobilize people from all walks of life to contribute to socio-political stability and social order, and work towards achieving socio-economic targets.
