Dong Nai prepares for Tet festival

Provincial leaders asked departments and agencies to reserve sufficient goods, ensure food security and traffic safety during Tet festival

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, local markets and supermarkets are busy preparing goods for Tet. Some enterprises and cooperatives have pledged to stabilize prices of essential commodities in the rest of the year. The department is urging local producers and distributors to stock sufficient supplies of goods to prevent price shocks caused by shortages during the lunar new year (Tet) next February. Local transport companies will also increase their trips to meet the increasing demand during the Tet holidays.

Addressing at the working session, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh stressed that the agencies should pay more attention to disadvantaged households, policy families and ethnic minority people, ensure a happy Tet for them.
