(ĐN)- In the morning of November 5, Long Thanh district’s Study Promotion Association organized a ceremony to award scholarships and bicycles to studious poor students.
More than VND173 million in scholarships was awarded to 204 students at all levels across the district.
Particularly, 36 university students each received a VND1.5 million scholarship, high school students got scholarships worth VND1 million each, primary and junior high students received scholarships valued at VND600,000-800,000 each.
In the school year 2009-2010, the district’s Study Promotion Association raised more than VND400 million, 467 sets of books and over 22,000 notebooks to help poor students to overcome difficulties and keep their study.
