(ĐN)- The Dong Nai authorities recently confirmed that new outbreaks of blue-ear pig disease have been detected in another two communes, namely Nhon Trach district’s Vinh Thanh commune and Long Khanh town’s Bao Vinh commune, bringing the total number of infected communes to 10.
As of September 8, nearly 20,000 pigs in Dong Nai have been infected, almost 9,000 of which have been culled.
Vinh Cuu district’s Vinh Tan Commune, Trang Bom district’s Song Trau Commune, Cam My district’s Song Nhan Commune and Long Thanh district’s Bau Can Commune were especially hard hit by the disease.
