(ĐN)- Dong Nai province’s Red Cross Association on June 30 held a meeting to review the five-year patriotic emulation movement in 2006-2010 period.
The provincial Red Cross said that it collected nearly VND180 billion in cash and goods over the past five years to help the poor, the disabled, AO/dioxin victims, and natural calamity victims inside and outside the province.
In the next period, the association and its grassroots agencies will continue efforts to provide aid to poor households, build charitable houses, offer free eye surgeries and medical check-ups to poor beneficiaries, etc.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 12 collectives and 11 individuals for their outstanding achievements in this period.
