(ĐN) – According to report from the Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control in Dong Nai, heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorm with a strong wind have lashed districts of Long Thanh, Xuan Loc and Thong Nhat since the end of May until now. The strong winds were responsible for destroying totally more than 10 houses and ruining over 40 others in the localities as well as damaging 5 classrooms in Xuan Loc district’s Xuan Tho commune . It also caused damages to cashew, rubber and fruit trees, mainly rambutan, durian…in Long Thanh and Thong Nhat districts.
According to initial statistics, total losses are estimated at nearly VND 2 billion.
